- Plotwright is a free, public gardening reference. The plant catalog, regions, and climate tools are the product — not your attention or your data.

- Some plant pages include outbound "where to buy" links to retailers for seeds, plants, or tools. Where Plotwright has an affiliate relationship with a retailer, that link can earn us a small commission. That is the only advertising on the site.

- We run no third-party advertising networks and load no ad scripts, so nothing on the page tracks you across the web.

- Affiliate links are labelled "Sponsored" right at the link, with a short note that we may earn a commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you. The label sits next to the link itself, never hidden in a footer or a separate page.

- Outbound links shown without the "Sponsored" label are plain "where to buy" links that earn us nothing. We include them because they are useful for finding a regionally-correct plant, not because they pay.

- Clicking any of these links shares nothing about you with us. If you continue to the retailer, that retailer and its affiliate network may set their own cookies under their own policies.

- An affiliate relationship never changes a plant’s climate-fit grade, its sourcing, or what we recommend. The grade comes first; the link follows it.

- We do not show a "buy" link for a plant graded won’t-grow for your location. A commercial link that contradicts our own honest fit grade is a bug, not a business model.

- Today, Plotwright participates in the Amazon Associates program for garden tools; Amazon-linked tool searches are the disclosed, commission-earning links you may see labelled "Sponsored".

- We may add other retailer relationships over time — especially regional and native-plant sellers. Any new partner follows the same rules: clear labelling, no influence on plant grades, and no third-party ad scripts.

- As an Amazon Associate, Plotwright earns from qualifying purchases.
