Un subarbusto perennifolio de origen mediterráneo para bordes soleados, jardines de polinizadores y estructuras de bajo consumo hídrico. Es la fuente del auténtico aceite de lavanda; muy apreciada pero en ocasiones difícil de cultivar al este del Mississippi, ya que no tolera el encharcamiento ni las arcillas pesadas.
